Blockbuster trades during the middle of the regular season are not something the Minnesota Vikings have typically participated in, at least not their current regime.
The last time the Vikings were involved in an in-season trade that included a star player was probably back in 2010 when they agreed to send a third-round draft pick to the New England Patriots for wide receiver Randy Moss.
Since then, Minnesota’s trades that have made the most headlines have come either during the offseason or right before the start of the regular season. Since Rick Spielman became the Vikings’ full-time general manager in 2012, the team has made a few trades to acquire some pretty high-profile names including Sam Bradford and Mike Wallace.
