At this time last year, the Minnesota Vikings were hoping to be Super Bowl contenders and take a step forward after a magical 2017 season. Weeks before the Vikings began training camp, however, offensive line coach Tony Sparano passed away and things spiraled into an 8-7-1 record that just missed the playoffs.
As the Vikings head to TCO Performance Center later this month to commence this year’s edition of training camp, it’s a great chance to hit the reset button.
The bad memories from last year are still there, but this a different team that saw some additions on and off the field and hopefully got rid of the deficiencies that torpedoed their campaign in 2018.
