The NFL is a business. While it would be great for a team like the Minnesota Vikings to be able to sign great players to any contract possible and fill a roster with amazing talent, the league’s salary cap has forced the league to be competitive with its salary cap.
For the 2020 NFL season, the purple and gold are in trouble. While there will likely be an increase in the salary cap announced for the upcoming year, as it stands the Vikings are over $11 million over the cap and will need to make some changes.
After signing draft picks and filling out their roster, getting under the cap will be even more of a challenge.
