The NFL Draft doesn’t end when Mr. Irrelevant is revealed. Even during the seventh round teams are calling players they think may go undrafted trying to convince them to sign with their clubs. The Minnesota Vikings were no exception this year.
Despite drafting 15 players, the Vikings added another dozen rookies after the draft concluded. Minnesota brought in seven on the offensive side of the ball and five on defense.
Some of these undrafted players play positions that will allow them to have an easier time attempting to make the team than others. But if they can impress in training camp and the preseason, it doesn’t matter who is ahead of them on the depth chart.
