Mike Zimmer is going into his seventh and potentially final season coaching the Minnesota Vikings. The team has a winning record during his tenure and they are usually in contention for the NFC North crown in addition to a berth in the playoffs.
In his time with the team, Zimmer has transformed a traditionally weak defense into a major strength. In recent seasons, the offense has caught up to the defense, making the Vikings a truly complete and balanced team.
Zimmer’s current contract expires at the end of the upcoming season and if he wants to return in 2021, there are some things that will have to happen this year for that to happen.
