Shortly before free agency began this offseason, some were beginning to wonder if the Minnesota Vikings were even going to have enough money to sign their rookie class, let alone fill the holes on their roster.
But after Everson Griffen opted out of his deal and the Vikings made the tough decisions to release Xavier Rhodes, Linval Joseph, and Josh Kline, they were able to free up a substantial amount of money.
Minnesota’s decision to extend Kirk Cousins for another two years and trade Stefon Diggs also cleared up some more cap space and the team entered the start of free agency with a decent amount of money to spend.
