Against the New York Giants on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings went into MetLife Stadium and got their first victory on the road of the 2019 season. The Vikings’ defense was aggressive, they applied good pressure on young Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, and they were also able to snuff out New York’s injury-riddled running game.
Offensively, Minnesota played their most balanced game of the season. Kirk Cousins was much more on point, utilizing the play-action pass and hitting Adam Thielen for some big gains. He also dumped it off to Dalvin Cook on screens who then turned those into some explosive plays.
