The Minnesota Vikings enter the 2019 NFL season with not a lot of salary cap to spend and some holes to fill on the roster. That means they may need to be creative when it comes to freeing up space and choosing who is important to the success of the franchise.
That means some players who were big contributors to the team could find themselves becoming free agents so the team can sign other players with the salary cap they saved from releasing the other players.
With the roster the way it is, there aren’t a lot of players the team could release and not suffer a massive penalty against the cap or leave a massive hole on the roster.
