Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, has remained publicly silent on the standoff between the team and Peterson for nearly three months. However, he let his thoughts be known on the situation on Monday.
Per a report by Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com, Dogra stated that he doesnt thing "it's in Adrian's best interest to play in Minnesota" this coming season or at any time beyond that.
Seifert added that "Vikings officials reiterated that Peterson is under contract and expected to remain with the team, but Dogra's comments -- which come days after he refused a meeting with general manager Rick Spielman -- suggests Peterson is digging in."
Dogra wouldn't elaborate on his comments when approached in the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore hotel, but the little he did say was enough to elicit a response out of Vikings co-owner and president Mark Wilf just moments later.
"The bottom line is Adrian is an important part of the Minnesota Vikings,: Wilf said. "He's represented us on and off the field. We're getting ready for the 2015 season and we fully expect him to join his teammates and be a part of what we feel is going to be a great season ahead."
