Adrian Peterson's suspension was officially upheld earlier this week, ending his 2014 season and putting his career in Minnesota in doubt.
Peterson stated earlier that he felt there were people in the Vikings organization that didn't support him during his process for reinstatement.
According to reports from NBC Sports, that previously unnamed person is Vikings general counsel Kevin Warren.
It is now believed that Warren has been working with the NFL to keep Peterson from playing this season.
There is no word if Warren is the only one within the organization working against the suspended Peterson, but Vikings coach Mike Zimmer previously stated he thought that Peterson would return to the team.
There has been no official comment from the Vikings organization, who are playing Sunday afternoon, but these rumors will surely be addressed by the team at some point.
