The Minnesota Vikings are stuck between a rock and a hard place with running back Adrian Peterson when it comes to a potential return, but the team's players seem to have banded together in support of the embattled Peterson.
Per an interview with NBC's PFT Live, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffin speaks for the team's locker room in saying that Peterson would be welcomed back to the locker room if he's allowed to suit up again for the franchise.
Peterson remains on the league's exempt list while the NFL complete its own review of his child-abuse case in terms of the league's personal conduct policy.
According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, "the league advised Peterson of the process Thursday afternoon, two days after the 2012 NFL MVP entered a no-contest plea to a reduced charge of misdemeanor reckless assault in Texas for injuring his 4-year-old son while whipping him with a tree branch in May."
Regardless of the NFL's final ruling, Griffin's interview with PFT Live makes it abundantly clear that he'd be welcomed back to the Vikings with open arms (at least by the players) if he is to return before the end of the 2014 NFL season.
