In this Vikings news and rumors update, Minnesota Vikings all-world running back Adrian Peterson missed practice the past two days. However, it's not an injury that has kept AP off the field.
Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "according to Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Peterson has missed practice the last two days due to an undisclosed personal matter. He is expected to travel to Kansas City with the Vikings for the team’s third preseason game of 2014."
This is relative accordance with how the Vikings normally treat Peterson during the preseason. AP hasn't seen a carry in August since 2011 when he rushed for 81 yards on 14 carries against the Dallas Cowboys.
It could be of benefit to get Peterson some practice time this summer, however, seeing that he will be in a new offensive scheme under first-year head coach Mike Zimmer. But, seeing that Adrian Peterson is Adrian Peterson, there might not be too much reason to worry.
