Minnesota Vikings sign RB Jerick McKinnon, all 2014 draft picks under contract

The Minnesota Vikings have finally signed the last pick of their 2014 NFL Draft class, as third-round selection Jerick McKinnon agreed to a four-year deal with the team on Tuesday.

Here's McKinnon signing his name on the dotted line, via the Vikings' official Twitter account:

Per Ben Goessling of ESPN.com , "McKinnon, the 96th pick in the draft, would be in line to receive a total of $2,745,000 over the next four years, with a signing bonus of $515,000."

The team gave the former Georgia Southern star plenty of work as a receiver out of the backfield during last week's OTA's, and could easily be a big contributor for the team's offense right away during the 2014 NFL season.

"We have a couple different types of backs. (Jerick) has a chance to do a lot of different things," head coach Mike Zimmer said last week, via Goessling's blog post on Tuesday.. "Matt (Asiata) is kind of an all-purpose guy. He’s a good runner, good protector. He’s probably not as explosive as Jerick is, or Adrian (Peterson), but he can take some punishment, he can give some punishment. So actually, we’re always looking for different types of backs. We’re not always looking for the same guy. You want to have a change-of-pace guy, you want to have a guy who can catch the ball out of the backfield and obviously you want to have Peterson.”
