The Minnesota Vikings are quickly taking care of business when it comes to signing their 2014 NFL Draft class, inking third-round pick Scott Crichton to a four-year contract late Wednesday night.
Per Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk, "defensive end Scott Crichton announced via his Twitter account that he had officially signed his rookie contract with the team."
The Oregon State product was named to the All-Pac-12 Second-Team last season. He amassed 47 tackles and 7.5 sacks for the Beavers during his senior year, functioning as the heart and soul of the team's defense. He holds the school record with 10 career forced fumbles, and is third all-time in school history with 22.5 sacks.
Out of the Vikings' ten draft picks, only former Georgia Southern running back Jerrick McKinnon remains unsigned. McKinnon is a fellow third-round draft pick who is being slated as having the chance at fighting for the backup spot behind Adrian Peterson with incumbent Matt Asiata.
