A busy offseason in Minnesota Vikings rumors has just gotten busier, with news just breaking that the Vikings have added another piece to an already revamped defense.
Per Tom Pelissero, NFL Writer for USA Today Sports, the Minnesota Vikings have just agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent defensive tackle Tom Johnson--
#Vikings have signed former #Saints DT Tom Johnson to a 1-year, $845K deal. Gets $100K in bonuses. He can earn another $600K in incentives.

The addition of Johnson is just the latest in what has been an undeniably defensively focused offseason for Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and the rest of the Vikings' front office.
The Minnesota Vikings reach multi-year agreements with CB Captain Munnerlyn and DT Linval Joseph earlier in the 2014 NFL free agency period, in an attempt to resurrect a defense which, in 2013, finished dead-last in the NFL with 480 points against (30 points per game).
Tom Johnson spent the first three years of his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints as a backup defensive tackle. He has never started a game, yet he appeared in 40 of the Saints' 48 contests from 2011-13. He has five career sacks in limited action, and is coming off a 2013 season where he posted just six total tackles and seven assists.
