The Minnesota Vikings trade rumors are starting to pick up now that the 2018 NFL Draft is over. There are a lot of Vikings rumors swirling around Minnesota with the big time moves the team has made this offseason. Perhaps, the Vikings aren't done and will make a few more trades before the start of the season. Here are three trades the Vikings could make this offseason:
NEXT READ: 3 Vikings Players Who Could Have A Breakout Season In 2018
1) Trade Away WR Laquon Treadwell
Since being selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell has been a major disappointment. He has only 21 catches for 215 yards and has yet to find the end zone. With the signing of veteran and also former first-rounder Kendall Wright this offseason, if the Vikings can't get production from Treadwell, look for them to try and trade him.
2) Trade Away K Kai Forbath
Forbath was solid in 2017 making 32 of 38 field goals, but the Vikings traded up to draft Daniel Carlson in the 2018 NFL Draft. Carlson made 80.7 % if his field goals and never missed a PAT during his college career at Georgia. If Carlson proves to be the better kicker in camp the Vikings may decide to try and trade away Forbath.
3) Trade Away CB Terence Newman
Newman is 37-years-old and the Vikings improved their secondary this offseason. If first-round pick Mike Hughes and Mackensie Alexander have strong training camps, it could mean the end of Newman in Minnesota. Newman despite almost being 40 years-old could be a reliable veteran on another team.
