There are very few guarantees when it comes to the game of football, but when it comes to the Minnesota Vikings' road game against the Chicago Bears this week, we've found an exception to the rule. Here's 3 Reasons Why The Vikings Will Blow Out The Bears.
1. Adrian Peterson vs. The Bears' Run D
Chicago has been terrible against the run all year long, giving up 124.8 yards per game -- 25th in the NFL. They've got little depth in their front seven, and the depth they do have isn't athletic enough to keep up with Adrian Peterson when he's deking and diving in the second level. If you have Peterson on your fantasy team, you're a lucky human being.
2. What Can The Bears Do On Offense?
Chicago is 27th in the NFL in total offense. Their running game is passable, but Jay Cutler has done little of anything to stretch the field this year and increase the potency of the team's overall attack. None of this is going to play against a Vikings defense that is giving up just 17 points a game (2nd) and routinely beats down inferior offenses like child's play.
3. "Prove It" Game
National experts have raised an eyebrow at the Vikings' 4-2 start, wondering if a young team like this can really sustain their momentum through the months of November and December. Annihilating a putrid Bears team is the way for Minnesota to announce themselves as legit NFC North and Super Bowl threats. Consider this a dress rehearsal for the really big games ahead.
