Salvo strolled to a first win of the season against a Fusion side making its season debut in Roseville. Despite a saved free kick and hitting the crossbar, the visitors were very rarely able to escape the Salvo pressure, and the goals came in bursts, with the first in the 5th minute from Haakenson after a free kick, and the second in the 8th from Ward at the end of a flowing move from their own half. An own-goal after pinball from a Salvo freekick was scored in the 37th minute. It was 3-0 at half time. Bruce made it four in the 68th minute and Kalkar made it 5-0 in the 78th minute, both from pinpoint crosses.
