Minnesota united did not give John Alvbåge much help —fielding an awful back line in the inaugural opener— but Alvbåge certainly did not give any in return.
What did he do?
John Alvbåge joined Minnesota united in January of 2017 on loan from IFK Goteborg, a Swedish top flight club. He was a praised transfer as Minnesota had yet to sign a goal-keeper with the upcoming season soon to begin. In Minnesota, he started two games. First, he started the inaugural MLS match against Portland in which Minnesota United was thrashed 5-1. His second start was the home opener (the snowpener) against Atlanta.
