2011 was a tumultuous year for NSC Minnesota and the professional game in the North Star State. After an underwhelming showing by the club in their first season in 2010, the Stars lost their ownership and became a league owned team. The loss in ownership was not due to the owners themselves, the National Sports Center, but rather the requirements by the USSF. Those standards state
