Minnesota’s soccer market is set to get a little bit warmer.
Bayern Munich, of the German Bundesliga, will be playing a friendly in Minnesota this summer, a source told E Pluribus Loonum. The opponent of the friendly is not known, and the date is not clear.
We previously reported the match would be held at Allianz Field, however the location is more likely 66,000-capacity U.S. Bank Stadium. Two previous international friends (Chelsea-Milan in 2016 and Tottenham-Milan earlier this year) have been played there as part of the International Champions Cup.
Bayern Munich have won the last six Bundesliga titles, but currently sit third in the league.
