In years past, FC Minneapolis could have been considered a typical lower-level soccer club. They played in the American Premier League (APL) with other local teams, despite some financial struggles and poor results. Then the Lions, like some other teams, left the APL because of the costs involved. Unlike other teams, FC Minneapolis chose to set themselves apart in in terms of where they went next--blazing the trail as an independent, non-league soccer club.
Ian Sendi is FC Minneapolis’ utility man. He runs most of the club’s operations, coaches the first team, and makes appearances as an attacking midfielder.
