Minnesota United have signed fullback Romain Metanire from Stade de Reims of France’s Ligue 1, according to reports from the Star Tribune’s Jerry Zgoda and Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press. Greder reports that the deal is pending league confirmation.
Metanire was born in France but represents Madagascar’s national team. He has made three appearances for his country.
Reims were promoted to the French top division this season after winning Ligue 2 last year. Metanire appeared in 37 games last season but has only played in 5 so far this season.
