Report: Minnesota United interested in young American keeper

A report from RP Online, a German newspaper, says that Justin vom Steeg, formely of 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Duesseldorf, is out of contract and interested in a move to Major League Soccer. Vom Steeg, a California native, played with the United States U-20 team before he moved to Germany last summer. With Fortuna Duesseldorf, he served as their third-string keeper, often making appearances for their second team.

According to the article, there are four teams interested in vom Steeg. 1. FC Kaiserslautern, a German club, have shown interest. RP Online says he would like to stay in Germany.
