On Saturday night, Minnesota United hosted Seattle Sounders in their fifth match of the 2022 MLS season. Coming in with a four match unbeaten streak, after a bye week, against a Sounders side with only one win in four matches things looked up for the Loons. Seattle would end up defeating Minnesota by a score of 2 - 1 after a 36’ minute goal and a Loons own goal in the second half.
The Loons lineup received some changes from their previous match against the San Jose Earthquakes. Danladi was slotted in as LAM replacing Bongokuhle Hlongwan, Dotson moved from RB to LDM, replacing Kervin Arriaga in that spot, while DJ Taylor took over Dotson’s spot at right back.
