Recap: Loons drop points, quality in scoreless draw with Whitecaps

One of Major League Soccer’s hottest offenses clashed with one of the league’s worst teams at Allianz Field on Saturday night, but Minnesota United’s expected trouncing of the Vancouver Whitecaps failed to materialize as the two clubs drew 0-0.

There were no real surprises to manager Adrian Heath’s starting lineup. Rookie Chase Gasper remained the starter at left back, while fellow first-year sensation Hassani Dotson was relegated to the bench because there are only eleven spots on the field.

Midfielder and captain Ozzie Alonso received an injection to manage his shoulder injury and was able to start.
