For the second time this year Minnesota United fans had to endure a weather delay. The US Open Cup Round of 32 match between Minnesota United and the Colorado Rapids got underway with an imminent threat of severe weather.
The thunderstorm rolled in and the match was put on hiatus at 7:21pm. The delay lasted 3 hours until they finally had to call it to abide by the city’s noise ordinance that kicked in at 11:00pm. The game was set to resume the following day at 1:00pm.
Thursday afternoon under the sun the teams met up again to finish the final 70 minutes all squared up at a goal a piece.
