This past weekend Minnesota United FC’s MLS NEXT Pro side MNUFC2 debuted on the league’s first weekend when the side faced the 2019 USL League One Champions, North Texas SC, on the road at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, TX.
Through the first near 75 minutes of the match, MNUFC2 and NTSC had a close and tightly fought match. North Texas’ Derek Waldeck scored the games opening goal after an intercepted pass led to a series of passes ending in a long through ball into the box that Waldeck put past Fred Emmings.
In the 64th minute 2021 SuperDraft pick Justin McMaster would tie up the match for MNUFC2.
