At an event today at the offices of corporate partner Allianz Life, MNUFC unveiled the plans and design of a new sculpture that will stand at Allianz Field and recognize the contributions of the club’s Itasca Society members. Limited to 11,842 fans — one for every lake in Minnesota — the society is made up of season ticket holders who supported the club during its inaugural MLS season in 2017.
The sculpture, which will stand at the stadium’s southwest corner near Snelling Ave and I-94, will consist of 12-foot-high letters spelling out the word “U-N-I-T-E-D.
