Early this afternoon Minnesota United announced they had traded Mason Toye to Montreal Impact. In exchange Minnesota receives $150K in GAM for 2020, $450K in GAM for 2021, and 2nd Round pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. Minnesota will also retain an undisclosed percentage on any future transfer fees for Toye.
The Loons acquired Mason Toye in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft when they selected him seventh overall out of Indiana University. He would debut for the club in March 2018 when he came off the bench against Orlando City SC.
