Minnesota United today announced that the club has exercised the 2018 contract option on rookie forward Mason Toye and loaned him to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC of the United Soccer League (USL).
MLS has entered into a Loan Agreement for Toye. This agreement contains a right of recall for MLS, which enables Toye to play for Colorado Springs and MNUFC throughout the duration of the loan period, subject to roster rules and compliance.
“It’s something we have been trying to address for a while,” said MNUFC Head Coach Adrian Heath. “Mason has clearly got loads of talent and he has showed glimpses with the first team.
