Minnesota United's new stadium will be named Allianz Field when it opens in 2019, the MLS club announced on Tuesday.

United and the Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America revealed a multi-year naming rights sponsorship agreement for the new venue in St. Paul.

The privately financed stadium seats 19,400 fans, with plans to expand to 24,474 when needed.

Allianz already sponsors seven stadiums around the globe, most notably Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena in Germany, while Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy, was renamed the Allianz Stadium this month.

Other clubs to play at venues sponsored by Allianz are France's Nice, Austria's Rapid Vienna, Brazil's Palmeiras, and Australia's Sydney FC, as well as Premiership rugby side Saracens in London.
