Defender Brent Kallman, a Woodbury native who regularly started for the Loons this past season, finished eighth out of 898 competitors at the Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open on the World Poker Tour.
He will receive a payout of $62,110 for his position, according to the WPT website. Kallman earned $85,791.67 for the 2018 Major League Soccer season.
“I’m having a lot of fun,” he said in an interview with the WPT site. “This is the biggest buy-in I’ve ever played, so I had a bit of nerves in the beginning, but got off to a pretty good start on Day 1.
