Minnesota United midfielder Ibson has received a Good Behavior Incentive reduction to his yellow card total following the match against Philadelphia Union this weekend. After five matches on the brink of suspension, the Brazilian midfielder can breathe easy as the Loons head to Vancouver.
But what is the Good Behavior Incentive?
According to the MLS Competition Guidelines:
“If a player appears in five consecutive matches without receiving a card or supplemental discipline, that player will have one caution removed from his cumulative yellow card total. The Good Behavior Incentive can be applied a maximum of three times throughout the season.
