Minnesota United will be hosting the German Bundesliga’s Hertha Berlin in a spring friendly, both clubs announced Friday. The match will be played on Wednesday, May 22nd at United’s new Allianz Field.
“We are continuing to put Minnesota and Saint Paul on the global soccer map and we are beginning to take our place in the world’s game,” said United CEO Chris Wright in a statement. “Our match against Hertha Berlin will be yet another step in that journey.”
Hertha Berlin, known as “The Old Lady” is the only Bundesliga club hailing from the nation’s capital.
