U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Greg Berhalter has called up MNUFC rookie defender Chase Gasper, along with 19 other players, to a pre-camp from November 2–9 at the IMG Academy in Brandenton, Florida, in preparation for the conclusion of CONCACAF Nations League Group A.
The 23-year-old Gasper found his way into the Loons’ starting lineup after missing the start of the season due to injury. The first-round draft pick made his MLS debut at Colorado Rapids and his first start at home against FC Cincinnati. Throughout the course of the season, Gasper started a total of 14 games and played a key role in a defense that allowed 43 goals — a 28-goal improvement over 2018 — and notched 11 clean sheets.
