“From the North: Faribault Boys Soccer,” a documentary produced by Minnesota United FC about the boys soccer team from Faribault High School in Minnesota, has been accepted into the Twin Cities Film Fest. Documenting the journey of the tiny high school program as it works to overcome a losing history and the loss of its best player, the film shows how the team embraced its diversity — with players from rural Minnesota, Hispanic players and Somali immigrants — and turned a challenge into a strength, with players and coaches working to build bridges.
