Twins sweep to keep purging first-week demons

The Twins ended their series against the White Sox the way they started it - with a rout.

Getting on the board with a grand slam by Trevor Plouffe followed by defensive shenanigans by Chicago, the Twins pulled away to a 13-3 victory at Target Field to complete a four-game sweep. Plouffe drove in a career-high five RBI and he and Brian Dozier each had three hits as the Twins swept the White Sox in a four-game series at home for the second consecutive year.

And, at 13-12, they are over .500 for the first time since May 23 of last season, when they were 23-22.
