PITTSBURGH -- Near the end of Francisco Liriano's disastrous outing Tuesday night, his first against his former team, a leather-lunged Pittsburgh Pirates fan punctured the cool air with a classic bit of heckling.
"Hey, Minnesota," the man barked in a hushed moment at PNC Park, "you want Liriano back?"
Plenty of fans laughed. Then they went back to booing the mercurial left-hander as he sent the Twins on their way to an 8-5 interleague victory.
A six-run second inning sent Liriano to the showers as Twins fans were reminded what "Bad Frankie" used to look like when he was pitching for them from 2005-12.
