With Alex Meyer's continued success out of the bullpen at Triple-A Rochester, Twins manager Paul Molitor said Meyer will "come up invariably" when discussing candidates for a promotion.
Then Molitor used Byron Buxton's slow start at the plate -- a .120 batting average -- as a prime example of how success in the minor leagues must be considered in context.
"The outcry and the clamor" for Buxton to be called up from Double-A "was fairly loud," Molitor noted.
"Now," he added, "people are saying, 'We get it' a little bit more about (the club's) hesitancy. We will proceed slowly with (Meyer).
