Ricky Nolasco is back in town and could be activated as early as Friday.
But there's no guarantee the Twins right-hander, who is about 11 weeks removed from ankle surgery, will see in-game action again this season.
"There's a good possibility I don't pitch, and that's fine," Nolasco said. "Because we don't really know what's going to happen when I get in a game."
Nolasco threw a 49-pitch bullpen session Monday in Fort Myers, Fla. That was the first time he had faced live hitters since May 31. And the Twins are in the middle of a wild-card chase, so there isn't much room for error.
