KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Twins can play with the Royals when they aren’t a horror show on defense.
The two teams went back and forth Tuesday, with the Twins rallying from a two-run deficit to take a 5-3 lead in the sixth. Kansas City answered with one in the sixth and tied it in the eighth on an RBI groundout.
With closer Glen Perkins on the mound later in the inning, Mike Moustakas’ single to left scored Paulo Orlando to give Kansas City the winning run in a 6-5 victory.
Before then, it was a night of advantages, redemptions and recoveries.
