Twins reinstate Sano from DL; Cave to Triple-A

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned third baseman Miguel Sanó from rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day disabled list. Sanó, who missed the last 24 games with a left hamstring strain, completed a five-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester where he went 6-for-16 (.375) with two home runs, three RBI and three walks.

To make room on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned outfielder Jake Cave to Rochester. Cave appeared in three games for the Twins, including hitting a home run in his major league debut on May 19 against Milwaukee.
