Twins pitcher Ricky Nolasco has setback in return from ankle injury

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Twins right-hander Ricky Nolasco had to cut short a more aggressive throwing session Sunday back at Target Field due to recurring problems with his right ankle.

"It didn't go well," Twins pitching coach Neil Allen said after Sunday's game. "I don't know where we go from here. He had to stop it. It was just all arm. He couldn't drive."

Nolasco was placed on the disabled list after leaving his last start on May 31 with pain in his right ankle. Diagnosed with an impingement related to an old high school injury, Nolasco received a cortisone shot on June 6 and resumed throwing three days later.
