KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When Paul Molitor spent the 2004 season as the hitting coach for the Seattle Mariners, the pitching coach was Bryan Price.
Yes, the same Bryan Price who made national news Monday when he dropped 77 F-bombs during a session with media covering the Cincinnati Reds team Price now manages.
"I didn't listen to the audio," Molitor said. "Bryan was an excellent pitching coach. (A) knowledgeable, very cerebral individual who thinks things through. Calm. Something must have really triggered for him to do that."
Over the course of 5-1/2 minutes, Price ripped into Reds beat writers for, among other things, using Twitter to break news about recent roster moves and for reporting the whereabouts of all-star catcher Devin Mesoraco.
