The bloom is off the rose for Twins left-handed reliever Aaron Thompson, who has suffered through a rough June after dominating coming out of the bullpen the first two months of the season.
However, manager Paul Molitor has no plans to summon Thompson in non-pressure situations to reboot his performance. He is committed to Thompson, one of two situational lefties (also Brian Duensing) ahead of closer Glen Perkins.
"I'm going to use him as needed," Molitor said. "I've got two lefties out there and I've got to find ways to use them.
