Twins' Graham has a big fan in former landlord

BALTIMORE -- When Twins rookie pitcher J.R. Graham walked onto the field at Camden Yards for the first time this weekend, Dave Wallace was waiting for him.

"Hey, A-Rod likes that one pitch where you threw it to him," the Baltimore Orioles pitching coach needled his former pupil with the Atlanta Braves.

Graham, who gave up a game-losing grand slam to Alex Rodriguez on Tuesday in New York, laughed.

In his former role as Atlanta Braves minor league pitching coordinator, Wallace helped the 2011 fourth-round pick navigate his first three years in pro ball.
