When Double-A Chattanooga right-hander Adrian Salcedo was hit with an 80-game suspension Wednesday after testing positive for both a performance-enhancing drug and a banned stimulant, it marked the Twins' 16th PED suspension since 2005.
It also came 26 days after Ervin Santana, also from the Dominican Republic, drew an 80-game steroid suspension of his own.
"Obviously, it's under my umbrella. I am disappointed," Twins general manager Terry Ryan said. "It looks like he made a bad decision, too, and now it's going to cost him 80 games."
