NEW YORK -- Despite a 9.90 earned-run average over his past four starts, Ervin Santana is trying not to make too much of Wednesday afternoon's scheduled outing at Yankee Stadium.
"You have some bad outings, some good outings; it's part of the game," the Twins' right-hander said. "Everything is good (physically). Just a couple pitches up in the zone and I've been falling behind in the count sometimes. I'll just try to go back to basics."
While Santana insisted he "didn't have to change anything" between starts, Twins pitching coach Neil Allen said there has been a clear focus since last week's shelling against Texas.
