When Brian Dozier kicks back this winter, spending his days hunting ducks and deer on the 380-acre spread outside Yazoo City, Miss., he purchased with former Twins teammate Josh Willingham, the all-star second baseman will be searching for answers.
A disappointing second half, combined with the Twins' narrow miss in their unlikely bid for a wild-card spot, has Dozier taking stock as he ponders possible remedies and adjustments.
"I'm a very optimistic person, but I'm also a realist," Dozier said on the final day of his fourth season in the majors. "The numbers have not been the same as my first half.
